A letter from our CEO

גלעד שאולוף מנכל אברהם

“In a year of significant challenges, our commitment to responsible business practices and positive social impact has remained at the core of everything we do.”

Hostels

In 2025, we operated three hostels: Tel Aviv and Eilat in Israel, and Bohol in the Philippines.

In Israel, the year was marked by ongoing instability, repeated rounds of conflict, and a significant shortage of international tourists. Throughout periods of escalation, we continued to open our doors to displaced people whenever needed. At the same time, we focused on developing partnerships and projects that could provide meaningful activity, social impact, and an economic foundation for continued operation. Our hostels hosted a wide range of events, workshops, retreats, and courses, serving as active spaces despite the challenging context.

For most of the year, our operations relied primarily on domestic tourism. Toward the end of the year, we were encouraged to see early signs of international tourism gradually returning to Israel.

Tours

Abraham Tlalim Tours is the joint tourism venture of Abraham Group and Tlalim Group, dedicated to socially conscious travel across Israel, Jordan, and the West Bank. Our tours provide in-depth exposure to the complexities of the region and Israeli society, fostering meaningful engagement and positive impact on travelers and local communities.

Following a period of disruption in late 2023 and early 2024, when tour activity was largely paused due to the war, 2025 marked a gradual process of recovery. As tourism slowly resumed toward the end of the year, we were able to reintroduce selected regular tours alongside continued development of impact-focused experiences.

We believe in the power of local perspectives. Our tours are led by local guides who share personal stories and lived experiences, engaging with communities rather than speaking about them. From border-region tours in the Gaza Envelope to cultural and culinary experiences that support small businesses, we continue to promote responsible tourism that connects people, amplifies local voices, and reflects the region’s complexity.

GSTC – In 2024, Abraham became the first tourism company in Israel to receive the GSTC certification from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. This certification recognizes organizations that meet the highest global standards for sustainable tourism, ensuring they adhere to strict sustainability criteria.

Achieving this certification was a significant journey. After a pre-audit assessment and the development and implementation of a Sustainable Management System, the final audit was delayed by war. Despite the challenges, we successfully completed the audit and were pleased to find that sustainability is already deeply embedded in our DNA, requiring only a few adjustments to achieve certification.

SDGs

The GSTC certification aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a global framework to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by 2030.

Target 8.9 promotes sustainable tourism that creates jobs, supports local businesses, and preserves cultural heritage—principles that are at the core of our work.

Actions Implemented

War and Ongoing Instability

The Abraham Tent: Support and Resilience

Following the October 7th attack, many young Israelis were left coping with the loss of close friends, alongside grief and uncertainty, often without adequate recognition or support. In response, in 2024 the Abraham Tent program was launched by the Abraham Group in partnership with the Gvanim Association, offering a structured and compassionate space for young adults to process grief, build resilience, and connect with peers.

The program continued to operate throughout 2025 at Abraham Tel Aviv, within a professionally supported and National Insurance-recognized framework. The Abraham Tent engaged 730 participants across 60 facilitated support groups, maintaining its role as an anchor for emotional support during ongoing periods of war and national instability.

KPIs

01 Impact Tour Participation
participants in impact tours 2026

Impact tours aim to support local communities, the environment, or local economies, while presenting the places visited in a complex and multi-dimensional way. The decline in tour participation reflects the broader impact of the war on tourism in Israel, particularly the sharp reduction in inbound travel. In 2025, Abraham-Tlalim Tours began a gradual rebuilding process, with impact tours now making up the majority of our offerings, while adapting to changing tourism conditions and audience needs.

Impact Events 2025

Impact events are activities hosted at our spaces that focus on social, cultural, or community-related issues, often in collaboration with nonprofits and local initiatives. In 2025, most impact events were designed for larger local audiences, resulting in significantly higher overall participation. Throughout the year, we also focused on building ongoing, win-win collaborations that create value for our partners, our spaces, and the community.
We remain open to new collaborations and genuinely welcome impact-driven initiatives and ideas.

women employment 2025

The lower percentage of women employed reflects the closure of our hostels in Jerusalem and Nazareth in 2024, where a higher proportion of women were employed. This level has remained stable in 2025 and is further influenced by the ongoing labor shortage in the tourism sector, which limits recruitment options and requires operational compromises. Despite these challenges, increasing women’s participation in our workforce remains a clear priority, as reflected in our recruitment practices and actions.

Diverse Workforce 2025

Diversity – foreigners, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and 50+.

The decrease in both the number and percentage of employees from diverse backgrounds reflects the overall reduction in workforce size following the war, alongside the ongoing labor shortage in the tourism sector. As recruitment options remain limited, maintaining workforce diversity has become more challenging in practice. Despite this context, diversity continues to be a core value in our employment approach, and we remain committed to inclusive recruitment as operating conditions allow.

Gender wage gap 2025

Our commitment to fair employment is reflected in our gender pay gap, which remains below both the Israeli economy (Source) average and global benchmarks in the tourism sector(Source). While pay gaps persist in certain roles, particularly at higher management levels, we continue to monitor and address disparities across the organization.

Outsourced employees2025

The increase in outsourced employment in 2025 reflects the ongoing labor shortage in the tourism sector, which has required limited operational flexibility in specific roles. While direct employment remains our preferred model, short-term outsourcing was used as a pragmatic response to staffing constraints. We continue to prioritize direct employment wherever conditions allow.

Procurement-from-Small-Businesses-2025-v04

Over the past years, procurement from small businesses declined following the COVID-19 crisis and continued to decrease during the early stages of the war, as business closures and budget constraints affected supplier engagement.

In 2025, we conducted a comprehensive data refinement process, including direct verification of all suppliers and an updated calculation method that excludes non-procurement expenses such as rent and utilities. This updated measurement provides a more accurate view of our current engagement with small businesses and establishes a clearer baseline for future reporting.

carbon footprint 2025

The significant decline in our overall carbon footprint that began in 2024 continued into 2025, primarily reflecting reduced tourism activity following the war. At the same time, since 2024 our Eilat hostel has operated on 100% renewable electricity, contributing to lower emissions.

While activity levels began to gradually recover in 2025, carbon intensity (tCO2e per $M revenue) remained substantially lower than in previous years. This indicates improved efficiency alongside operational stabilization.

The higher footprint recorded in 2022 reflects the post-pandemic recovery and the return of international tourism, which increased overall activity and associated emissions.

The data is based on an unaudited model and includes partial Scope 3 emissions.

Thanks

To our dedicated team, guests, partners, investors, and collaborators, thank you for your trust, commitment, and shared effort. Your ongoing collaboration enables our work and impact, especially in times of uncertainty and change.

We close this report with a shared call for peace, healing, and the creation of new connections and bridges. A call to open doors to new ideas, dialogue, and cooperation. It is a time for repair. It is time for peace.

Since 2010, we’ve grown from one small hostel in Jerusalem to offering a range of tourism services in multiple countries; hostels and tours in Israel, Egypt and the Philippines. We remain grounded, supporting local businesses and preserving the environment. Our hostels and tours promote dialogue, tolerance, and unity, while also advocating for equality and democracy.

Our vision is to be an important leading regional tourism group, an efficient and profitable company, whose actions have an impact and create a positive change in the environment in which we operate, while promoting values that are important to us.

עובד אחזקה

Dear Friends and Partners,

We conclude 2025 with a profound sense of relief and renewed hope.

After two incredibly challenging years, we are thankful to witness the end of the war and, most importantly, the return of the hostages to their families. With this heavy chapter behind us, we look to the future with great optimism, eager to embrace a new era of flourishing tourism and positive action.

Throughout this complex year, our commitment to social responsibility remained unwavering.

We continued to lead impactful initiatives in Israel, particularly through the “Abraham’s Tent” program for bereaved friends and our ongoing support for local NGOs.

Simultaneously, we have deepened the impact of our operations in the Philippines.

I am proud to share that as our global presence matures, our values remain at the forefront; we are dedicated to ensuring that the same vision of community, sustainability, and positive impact is fully integrated into our locations abroad.

I am honored to present this year’s Impact Report.

We believe that 2026 will be a turning point, a year of rebuilding and healing. We are committed to constructing a better, shared future for our communities and the entire Middle East.

Finally, none of this would have been possible without our incredible team. I want to express my deepest gratitude to our employees, whose resilience and dedication were the backbone of this organization during such a trying period.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for standing with us as we move forward together.

With gratitude,

Gilad Shauloff CEO, Abraham Group
